What seasonal storage costs in the Flathead Valley
Heated indoor storage in the Flathead usually runs $400–$500 a month on a nine-month contract. We charge by the foot for the whole season instead — because we fill the building once in October and open it once in May. Fewer door cycles, less heat lost, lower price for you.

What freezing temperatures do to a stored boat
A Flathead Valley winter puts a stored boat through dozens of freeze and thaw cycles between October and May. Over several seasons that cycling contributes to gelcoat crazing, cracked and faded upholstery, corroded wiring and connectors, and moisture and mildew in enclosed spaces. The damage is gradual, and it shows up in resale value.
A heated, enclosed building holds a stable temperature and eliminates snow load, ice and UV exposure. It also keeps rodents out of upholstery, wiring and storage compartments.

Frequently asked questions
What does "first in, last out" mean?
The building is loaded to capacity, so boats stored earliest are positioned deepest and are retrieved last in the spring. Individual boats are not accessible during the storage season.
This is what allows us to store more boats per square foot and price the season well below facilities that maintain drive-up access. If you require access during the winter, another facility will be a better fit.
Does the boat need to be winterized?
Yes. Heated storage protects upholstery, electronics and gelcoat, but it is not a substitute for winterizing the engine and plumbing. All personal property must also be removed before delivery.
How is length measured?
By the manufacturer's listed boat length, not the overall trailer measurement. A boat listed at 21′6″ is billed at 22′. Jet skis and other towables are priced by trailer length.
When and how is payment due?
The full season is due before the boat enters the building. We accept cash, check or credit card. No vessel is accepted for storage until the fee is paid in full.
What if I need the boat out early?
Early retrieval requires relocating every boat positioned in front of yours, so a substantial early-retrieval fee applies. It is specified in the storage agreement. Standard spring retrieval requires seven days' notice.
Do you store RVs, trailers and jet skis?
Jet skis, utility trailers and other low towables are stored at the same $100 per foot of trailer length. Our door is 10 feet tall, so most motorhomes and travel trailers will not fit. Measure your unit at its tallest point and call before reserving. Jet ski and trailer storage details →
